A Core retrofit covers the everyday case: a marine auxiliary motor or industrial workhorse has failed, the original manufacturer's catalogue number no longer exists, and the vessel or the line is down until a fitting replacement arrives. The Core line is held in stock on the IEC frames that fail most, same dimensions, same mounting, IP55, class documentation on file. The efficiency step is built into the replacement: most originals are IE2 or below, the Core baseline is IE3.
