Line 01, Pro

Dutch Precision.

The premium line. For heavy industry, marine class duty, and the four ATEX zones, where the specification cannot slip and the certification path cannot be improvised.

Retrofit use case

When the original was built around the application.

A Pro retrofit covers the cases where the original motor is more than a catalogue part, a flameproof Zone 1 motor on a chemical-process pump, a class-approved davit drive with a builder-specific flange, an oversized auxiliary on a brake-rated lift. The Pro line is specified per case: the protection method, the flange, the shaft, and the certification dossier are all engineered into the order. The duty matches the original; the efficiency class, where applicable, is lifted to current European baseline.

Surface finishingShot-blasted + C5M coatingIn-house shot-blasting and coating to corrosion category C5M per ISO 12944, the specification for coastal and marine atmospheres. C3 or C4 systems for less aggressive environments on request.
Surface engineering

Shot-blasted, then coated to C5M.

The Dormot Pro coating standard is C5M under ISO 12944, the highest atmospheric corrosivity category for coastal and marine exposure. The full process runs in-house, through two dedicated cabins.

01 · Blast

Shot-blasting

The motor housing is shot-blasted in our dedicated blast cabin until the surface reaches the cleanliness and roughness profile the coating system demands. No residual oxide, no millscale, no surface contamination.

02 · Coat

C5M coating in the spray booth

The motor is suspended on chains in the spray booth, allowing 360-degree access in a single pass. A three-coat system (zinc-rich primer, intermediate, topcoat) is applied to the dry-film thickness required for C5M durability. Lower categories C3 or C4 are available on request for less aggressive environments.

03 · Ship

Cure, inspect, dispatch

After full cure, every motor is inspected for dry-film thickness and visible defects before the protective shaft cap goes on and the motor is crated.

Built in Holland

Engineered in Holland.
Finished in our Rotterdam workshop.

Every Dormot Pro motor passes through the VBE engineering desk and the in-house workshop in the Rotterdam region before it reaches the customer. The engineering, the surface preparation, the coating, the bench-test, and the certification dossier, all done here, by people we know, against drawings we keep.

01 · Engineering In the Netherlands

Specifications, drawings, certification dossier and customer dialogue are owned by the VBE engineering desk in Dordrecht. Every Pro motor is configured here against the application, frame, shaft, flange, terminal box, ATEX zone, class society documentation.

02 · Finishing In the Netherlands

Each motor is shot-blasted in our blast cabin, then chain-suspended in the spray booth for full 360° access and coated to corrosion category C5M per ISO 12944. The finishing is what gives the motor a coastal-and-marine service life. We do this work ourselves.

03 · Bench-test & dispatch In the Netherlands

Every Pro motor is run-up on the bench under load before it leaves. Electrical readings, vibration measurements, and the test report are filed against the order number. The yellow shaft cap goes on only after the report is signed. Then the motor is crated and dispatched from Dordrecht.

Dormot Pro is engineered, finished, tested and certified by Van Bodegraven Elektromotoren in the Rotterdam region.
